On Aug. 19, developer Game Science will release its first video game in nearly a decade: Black Myth: Wukong. The action-RPG is inspired by Journey to the West, a piece of traditional Chinese literature in which a Buddhist monk makes a pilgrimage to India. If you’re interested in this modern adaptation of the classic tale, check the minimum and recommended specs below to ensure that your gaming desktop or laptop can boot up Black Myth: Wukong. Why the Black Myth: Wukong Hype?Black Myth: WuKong puts you in the shoes of the mythical Monkey King, battling foes across a massive, gorgeous 16th-century China powered by Nvidia’s ray-tracing technology. Unlike other action-RPG titles, Black Myth: Wukong focuses on predicting and dodging the enemy’s next move. That said, you can tap a range of spells, including one that lets you perform a parry-like technique. There’s also a shapeshifting spell that causes Sun WuKong to transform into certain previously defeated enemies. There’s another reason why people are keeping an eye on Wukong. Although it’s not unusual for game developers to port their console and PC games to Android or iOS, it’s uncommon to see mobile game makers go in the other direction as Game Science intends. So, many people are curious to see if the developer can pull it off.Where Can You Buy Black Myth: Wukong?Black Myth: Wukong will be available for PC (via Epic Game Store, Steam, or WeGame), plus PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S players. The action-RPG won’t see a last-gen console release.
