Amazon Prime Day 2024: The Best Dell and Alienware Deals

Dell is one of America’s most long-lived computer vendors, and since its incorporation in 1984, the company has had plenty of time to figure out exactly what the PC market needs. With a wide range of products from ultra-budget laptops and mini desktops for students, to no-frills business PCs, all the way up to the powerful and stylish Alienware line of gaming machines, Dell makes computers for everyone. Here are five nice Prime Day price drops on Dell and Alienware laptops, desktops, and monitors, most of which we’ve tested and reviewed.

We consistently rate Dell’s Inspiron Plus laptops as solid contenders, with plenty of CPU and GPU power at reasonable prices. The recently released Inspiron Plus 7640 hasn’t been through the review wringer here at PCMag yet, but last year’s model did get a full review, in which we called it “a viable alternative to more costly content-creation laptops,” thanks to its surprisingly upscale components. This configuration is built around an Intel Core i7-13620H processor with integrated Intel UHD graphics, 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and a 1TB SSD. Taking $200 off the list price makes it a very attractive offer.

Dell’s Alienware line of gaming hardware is well-known for aggressive design flourishes, LED lighting, and high performance. We had good things to say about the gargantuan 18-inch M18 Gaming Laptop in our review, commenting that it was “the best giant-screen gaming laptop so far” and giving it an Editors’ Choice nod. That big screen gives you 165Hz refresh rates with QHD+ resolution, and inside the casing an Intel Core i7-14700HX processor coupled with a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card make it sing. This configuration also comes with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD for $420 off.

Curved monitors are super cool, and when you combine them with OLED technology you typically get gaming displays that excel for just about every genre. The sticker price on this one might be steep, but Prime Day is the time to save. In our review we said that “the Alienware 34 is a great entry point into the world of OLED desktop monitors,” and praised its robust configuration options and incredible picture quality. With a 175Hz refresh rate and low input lag, it’s an all-around winner, especially with more than $200 off right now.

We raved about the redesigned Alienware Aurora R16 in our review, giving it an Editors’ Choice award and saying that it “marks a new chapter for the Alienware brand” by pivoting away from ostentatious cases to something more subdued while still delivering the power and performance we’ve come to expect from the brand. Component-wise, this is a top contender with an Intel Core i9 13900F CPU, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card and 32GB of RAM letting it pump out high-quality images and multitask with ease. This configuration also comes with a 1TB SSD and Windows 11 Home.

An all-in-one desktop gives you the power of a traditional tower packed into the housing of a slim screen. Dell’s Inspiron All-In-One line are dependable midrange performers at solid prices, and in our review of the most recent 27″ model we said that it “offers a handsome design and nearly the same level of fit and finish as Apple’s discontinued 27-inch iMac for hundreds less.” With an Intel Core 7-150U processor and 32GB of RAM, it excels for creative tasks. This configuration comes with a 1TB SSD and a NVIDIA GeForce MX570A GPU.
