Best PlayStation Deals for March 2024: Infinite Wealth, Persona 3 Reload, More

2024 is absolutely stacked with video game releases. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth came out at the end of February; Shadow of the Erdtree added even more content to critically acclaimed Elden Ring; gorgeous strategy RPG Unicorn Overlord is one I’ll definitely be spending more time with; and at the end of the month the long-awaited sequel to 2012’s Dragon’s Dogma, Dragon’s Dogma 2, will be arriving on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for all to finally enjoy. For now, you can check out the character creator and get those first couple of hours out of the way, painstakingly making the perfect protagonist for your journey. You can also check out this list of Playstation titles on sale now—you know, in case you need even more to play. For those who haven’t taken the plunge and upgraded to the PlayStation 5, the console offers unparalleled graphical fidelity, much faster loading times over the PS4, and a huge library of next-gen games that are as fun to look at as they are to play.

More like “Infinite[ly] awesome.

I’ve mentioned how much I was enjoying my time with Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, right? My gaming library (namely my backlog) is far too large for me to linger on any one title for too long, but I can wholeheartedly recommend Infinite Wealth for the sheer amount of stuff there is to do: Sujimon battles, side quests galore, cooking, online dating, befriending natives, snapping photos of landmarks and sickos (you read that correctly)—the list goes on. Plus, there’s an engaging story winding its way through all of that, rife with intrigue and twists.

Fighters, prepare for the most accessible Street Fighter title yet!

Fighting games aren’t something I go out of my way to play, but when I tried the Street Fighter 6 demo before launch, I was immediately attracted to the character creation and ability to explore Metro City. Street Fighter 6 is accessible to a variety of skill levels and the graphics are incredible. Capcom’s latest entry into the series has recently broken three million in sales, which speaks to how much fans are enjoying the high-octane action. If you’re still on the fence about it, this discount should be enough to entice you to take the plunge..

Remakes are all the rage nowadays and the latest oldie-but-goody to receive that overhaul treatment is Persona 3. Establish Social Links, battle your way through the shadowy labyrinth, Tartarus, and engage in the typical Persona balancing act of social and RPG elements. Those who didn’t play this iconic early entry in the Persona series likely won’t enjoy it as much as those with nostalgia because, as our reviewer points out, it “doesn’t hit the narrative or presentation heights of Persona 4 or 5” despite improvements made to graphics and sound. This is the first price drop the game has seen since release, so if you’ve been eyeing it, now is a good time to pick it up for less than retail.

FAQ
What’s the Best Gaming Console?Every console has its pros and cons. The Nintendo Switch is very portable, but not as powerful as, say, the Xbox One X. Each console also has its own library of exclusives, so basing your decision on what games you want to be able to play is a solid strategy. Should I get the PlayStation 5 Slim?If you already own a PS5 console, switching to the Slim doesn’t make much sense as the differences are negligible. We suggest holding off until the Pro model is released. Do I Need a PlayStation Plus Subscription to Play My Games?Yes and no. Much like with an Xbox or Switch console, playing online requires a subscription. If you play only single player games, you won’t need PlayStation Plus, though it helps to have cloud saving and you’re granted access to a selection of new games every month, which are yours to keep so long as your subscription is active.
