Lets start with the good: Love the bundled equipment and case, even came with a screen protector. It’s memory is expandable to 512 Gb through the use of a micro sd card inserted into the port on the side of the tablet (have to remove case to get to it). Entry level tablet with a good price. Now for the bad: I initially attempted to write this review on the tablet, but it was so slow and laggy I had to give up. While uploading pictures taken from this tablet was easy, uploading them as an attachment to an email (which is how I sent pictures from my iPhone to the tablet) was extremely slow. I also experienced a lot of connectivity issues between the mouse and keyboard, where the screen would lock out and I’d have to reconnect these devices in the settings menu instead of them automatically connecting. After installing two AAA batteries in the mouse I discovered that there were no instructions for pairing. I figured out that I needed to press the top button to make it visible in the bluetooth settings menu. I did a quick comparison using commercially available Wifi speed test software. Connection to my Wifi was barely out of the single digits (12 Mbs upload 14.5 down) on this device, this was within 3 feet of my Wifi 7 mesh based systems access point with no obstructions to attenuate the signal. My iphone 13 got 583 up and 576 mbs down in the same location, almost 50 times faster! I downloaded some diagnostic software to get to the root of the problem and it appears that this tablet has a wireless “n” wifi adapter which is huge bottleneck and probably the root of why this tablet is so laggy. We left wireless “n” in the dust as an industry standard for WIFI a long time ago. This same diagnostic software also showed that the processor is a quad core “Rockchip” processor running at up to 1.8 Ghz. So not really the “newest” since there are faster processors out there with up to 8 cores (better) and double the speed. So not the fastest, but not terrible. Lastly, battery life is below average. After leaving this on standby overnight starting with a full battery I had about 50% battery left the next morning which seems pretty poor in my opinion. So in summary, while I was initially excited about the prospect of this being a good tool with it’s bundled keyboard and mouse the negative performance aspects really make this tablet unusable for me. If you can stretch your budget a bit there are tablets that are much snappier out there for another 50 bucks or so. For all of the negatives listed above I would not recommend this tablet.
