It was somewhat of a rocky start for the Intel Arc A770, but Intel’s relatively new venture into discrete graphics cards has only been getting better as driver support improves. We’ve spotted a huge deal on the A770 that could make it worth considering, even over more popular choices.
By the time we got around to reviewing the Intel Arc A770, it proved itself to be a top competitor, even against the likes of rivals Nvidia and AMD. The value for money is some of the best on the market and you can now get 16GB of VRAM for less than $240. Video card memory has become a hot topic, especially for new games (or PC ports) like Horizon Forbidden West.

Intel Arc A770 deal live for a limited time at Woot
Here’s a retailer that you may have not heard of before, but Woot is a great place to find electronics for cheap, PC hardware included. They are currently running a deal that means you can get the Intel Arc A770 for just $239.99. That’s down from the original suggested retail price of $439.99 – 45% off.
For comparison, we found the same card on Amazon for $299.99. That’s still great value, but of course a comparative saving of $60 over on Woop is hard to ignore. Interestingly enough, delivery is still fulfilled via Amazon – which means Prime members get Free Standard shipping.
The listing shows that this deal will be running for another month (at the time of writing), or until it is sold out.
Is it worth it over Nvidia or AMD GPUs?
It’s no secret that Nvidia and AMD have been the two key players in the world of graphics cards for a long time now. Nvidia has pretty much always had the edge, especially with their more recent push on AI chips for improved performance beyond rasterization.
Looking at alternatives for the A770, we’d suggest the likes of the RTX 4060 Ti and RX 7600 XT for similar performance. Considering that these are selling for around $380 and $330 respectively, the Arc easily offers the best value for money. Plus, new Intel Arc drivers have been helping it keep up in terms of support and optimization. Not quite on the same level for gaming just yet, but it’s getting there – and the 16GB A770 is a great budget choice for productivity workflows.
