Wix has been leaning heavily into AI tools that will help you generate or spruce up websites, and its newest trick is producing blog posts.”Get a fully drafted blog, complete with custom images and SEO-friendly content,” Wix says. “Wix will draw from your business info and your blog post settings (i.e., the tone of voice, audience, keywords, etc. that you define) to produce an article you’re proud of.”The AI will also “create a blog outline, get blog ideas or edit your content in real time,” it says.Human content creators and SEO pros may bristle at the thought, but Wix says the aim is to let users “enhance efficiency without compromising the quality and authenticity of content.” Ultimately, users want their blog posts to be featured prominently on Google, so Wix will “identify related keywords and check out the organic competition on search engine results pages.””Blogging can be exhausting,” says Allison Ko, editor-in-chief of the Wix Blog. “Take it from someone who has spent nearly a decade blogging and has wasted far too much time staring at blank pages, willing the words to come.”

Still, Ko cautions that “it’s not something to apply blindly.”Given the potential for hallucinations and sometimes dry output, “you need to edit any and all AI-generated content to protect your blog, plus avoid being penalized by Google,” Ko adds. “Google’s guidelines state that content must be helpful, whether or not it has been made with the help of AI.”
