SWIT has just added a new series of batteries to their product line – the CIMO CINE V-mount – featuring high-load output and a new design. Four models – CIMO-98S, CIMO-160S, CIMO-200S, and CIMO-290S – offer various capacities to meet different power needs, and each is tailored for specific use cases. Let’s take a closer look at each one.SWIT, the Chinese company that specializes in products for the broadcast and film industry, is no slacker in the battery market, having just recently announced the OMNI-50S and OMNI-99S Pocket V-mount batteries at NAB 2024. They are also well-known for their monitors, including the FM-215HDR 21.5” display, which we took a look at during Cine Gear 2024.High load with four different power optionsThe key feature of these new CIMO CINE batteries, according to the company, is their ability to deliver a true high load that lets users power high-power Cine cameras and on-camera devices simultaneously. While all four batteries operate at a rated voltage of 14.4V (11V-16.8V), each of the four models offers different options.Power load comparison. The Power Display provides real-time information on Standby, Discharging, and Charging, and pushing the button beneath the display will show the battery cycle times, the health level of the battery (1-3), and the actual maximum capacity.2x D-Tap Out/Charging In. The charging current is 6A (Max 8A), except for the CIMO-98S, which has 3A (Max 4A).
