Top 10 most popular mobile games globally by revenue in January 2024

Sensor Tower, an authoritative market research agency, released its latest report for the gaming market in January 2024. One interesting aspect of this report is the most popular games globally by revenue. According to the report, the most popular game in the world in January 2024 by revenue is Tencent’s Honor of Kings. This game attracted $233 million in the global App Store and Google Play in January 2024. It is important to note that Sensor Tower’s data does not include third-party Android channels. Honor of Kings returns to the top of the global mobile game best-selling list after a few months on the sidelines.

According to the report, thanks to multiple activities such as new skins, new seasons, and limited-time skin returns, “Honor of Kings” reached its single-day sales peak in January on January 5.
Scopely’s “Monopoly GO!” ranks second on the list with revenue of $227 million. This game slips one position to second place. Recall that it was the most popular game in terms of revenue last month. Sensor Tower reported that 78% of the revenue of this game comes from the US market. The Singapore market accounts for 3.3%, and the UK market accounts for 3.2%. The other three games in the top five revenue list are Dream Games’ “Royal Match”, “Roblox” and King’s “Candy Crush Saga”.
