Affordable gaming smartphone manufacturer, POCO has launched a new entry-level smartphone in its M-series – the POCO M6 Plus. The company’s new smartphone brings significant upgrades over a POCO M6 (launched last year in December) including the latest Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE processor, 108MP main camera, 5,030mAh massive battery, and much more.
Let’s start with the display, the POCO M6 Plus has a stunning 6.79-inch FHD+ LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 550 nits peak brightness support. You get a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection for the M6 Plus. In terms of lenses, the smartphone has a dual rear camera setup at the back, consisting of a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 main sensor complemented by a 2MP macro lens. There’s a 13MP front-facing shooter for selfies.
The M6 Plus is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE (Accelerated Edition) processor coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage which is further expandable up to 1TB via microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 14 based on Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS out of the box. POCO promised 2 major Android OS updates (up to Android 16) and 4 years of security patches.
It packs a massive 5,030mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Other features of the POCO M6 Plus include a 3.5mm headphone jack, IR port, hybrid dual SIM slot, IP53 water and dust resistance ingress protection, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and WiFi 6.
The POCO M6 Plus is priced at INR 13,499 ($161) for the base 6/128GB variant, while the 8/128GB model retails at INR 14,499 ($173). It comes in Misty Lavender, Ice Silver, and Graphite Black color options. The smartphone will go on sale from 5th August via POCO’s official website and other authorized retailers.
